'Palimpsest'는 새 글을 써넣어도 그 아래 옛 흔적이 끝내 지워지지 않는 양피지를 가리킨다. 이 작업은 1:1 가상도시 위에 관람자의 시점과 언어를 덧쓰는 실시간 AI 설치예술작업이다. 관람자가 HMD¹로 도시를 걷는 동안, 그 시점은 중앙 벽에 투사되고 img-to-img AI²의 입력값이 된다. 왼쪽 벽에는 프롬프트와 적용 강도가, 오른쪽 벽에는 AI가 변형한 도시가 나타난다. 세 화면은 하나의 공간이 관람자의 언어, 시선, 이동에 의해 어떻게 다시 읽히고 왜곡되는지를 실시간으로 보여준다. 이 작업은 AI를 이미지 생산 도구가 아니라, 도시를 취향화·개인화·오독하는 매체로 다룬다. 완성된 가상건축을 전시하기보다, 한 도시가 관람자의 말과 시선에 덧쓰일 때마다 어긋나고 미끄러지는 그 오독의 순간을, 건축적 저자성이 타인의 사용 앞에서 흔들리는 사건으로 노출시킨다.A palimpsest is a parchment whose earlier writing is never fully erased, no matter how much new text is laid over it. This work is a real-time AI installation that overwrites a 1:1 virtual city with the viewpoint and language of its visitors. As a visitor walks through the city in an HMD, their viewpoint is projected onto the central wall and fed as input to an image-to-image AI. The left wall shows the prompt and the strength at which it is applied; the right wall shows the city as the AI has transformed it. Together, the three screens reveal in real time how a single space is reread and distorted by a visitor's words, gaze, and movement. Here the AI is treated not as a tool for producing images but as a medium that turns the city into a matter of taste, of personalization, of misreading. Rather than exhibiting a finished work of virtual architecture, it exposes the very moment of misreading—the slippage that opens each time a city is overwritten by a visitor's words and gaze—as an event in which architectural authorship wavers before another's use.「Palimpsest（パリンプセスト）」とは、新たな文字を書き込んでも、その下の古い痕跡が消えきらずに残り続ける羊皮紙を指す。本作は、原寸大の仮想都市の上に観覧者の視点と言語を上書きしていく、リアルタイムのAIインスタレーションである。 観覧者がHMDで都市を歩くあいだ、その視点は中央の壁に投影され、img-to-img AIの入力値となる。左の壁にはプロンプトとその適用強度が、右の壁にはAIが変容させた都市が映し出される。三つの画面は、一つの空間が観覧者の言語・視線・移動によっていかに読み直され、歪められていくのかを、リアルタイムで示す。 本作はAIを画像生成の道具としてではなく、都市を嗜好化し、個人化し、誤読する媒体として扱う。完成された仮想建築を展示するのではなく、一つの都市が観覧者の言葉と視線によって上書きされるたびにずれ、滑っていく——その誤読の瞬間を、建築的な作者性が他者の使用の前で揺らぐ出来事として露わにする。
