《Daring or Delusional》은 서울대학교 건축학과 동아리 In-Depth가 기획한 2022 건축전 《살과 돌》의 리뷰 전시를 Web3D¹ 가상공간²으로 확장한 프로젝트다. ERSATZ는 졸업작품들의 이미지 자료와 건물 아이콘을 한데 모은 3D 메인 페이지를 만들고, 관람자가 아이콘을 고르면 그 작품이 실제 건물 스케일의 1:1 공간으로 따로 열리도록 구성했다. 관람자는 메인 페이지에서 작품들을 훑어보다 하나를 골라 그 공간을 직접 거닌다. 이 가상전시는 서울대학교 중앙도서관의 메타 XR 익스피리언스 센터에서 오프라인 전시로도 열려, 관람자가 HMD³를 직접 쓰고 작품 공간을 체험할 수 있었다. 이미지로만 접하던 졸업작품이 들어가 볼 수 있는 건물이 될 때, 동료의 설계는 화면 너머의 인상에서 잠시 머무는 장소로 옮겨 온다. 이 프로젝트는 기간이 지나면 닫히던 건축전을, 누구나 접속해 작품 하나하나를 직접 점유해보는 상시 환경으로 전환한 작업이다.Daring or Delusional is a project that extends into Web3D virtual space the review exhibition of Flesh and Stone, the 2022 architecture show organized by In-Depth, a club of the Department of Architecture at Seoul National University. ERSATZ built a 3D landing page gathering the image materials and building icons of the graduation projects, arranged so that selecting an icon opens that project separately as a 1:1 space at real building scale. A visitor browses the works on the landing page, picks one, and walks through its space firsthand. The virtual exhibition was also held offline at the Meta XR Experience Center in Seoul National University's Central Library, where visitors could put on an HMD and experience the work spaces for themselves. When a graduation project once met only as images becomes a building you can step inside, a peer's design moves from an impression beyond the screen to a place you dwell in for a while. This project turned an architecture exhibition—one that used to close once its run was over—into a standing environment where anyone can log on and occupy each work for themselves.《Daring or Delusional》は、ソウル大学校建築学科のサークルIn-Depthが企画した2022年の建築展《肉体と石》のレビュー展示を、Web3Dの仮想空間へと拡張したプロジェクトである。 ERSATZは、卒業作品の画像資料と建物アイコンを一つにまとめた3Dのメインページを制作し、観覧者がアイコンを選ぶと、その作品が実際の建物スケールの1:1空間として個別に開くように構成した。観覧者はメインページで作品を見渡しながら一つを選び、その空間を実際に歩く。この仮想展示は、ソウル大学校中央図書館のメタXRエクスペリエンスセンターでオフライン展示としても開催され、観覧者がHMDを自ら装着して作品空間を体験することができた。 画像としてしか触れられなかった卒業作品が、入って歩ける建物になるとき、仲間の設計は、画面の向こうの印象から、しばし滞在する場所へと移ってくる。本プロジェクトは、会期が過ぎれば閉じてしまっていた建築展を、誰もがアクセスし、作品の一つひとつを実際に占有してみられる常設の環境へと転換した作業である。
